Announcing Free Green Workshops in Brooklyn

In order to engage the community, the founders of Green Apple Kids have decided to host monthly workshops at the Brooklyn Public Library: Leonard Branch.

Details:

JUL. 26: Musician Meg Man builds simple percussion instruments from items in your recycle bins.

AUG. 02: Hands-on sculpture workshop using recycled material with conceptual artist Jessica Findley.

SEP. O6: Start a Vermicompost for your home and reduce landfills by sending less to the city dump.

OCT. 04: Marge Mendel turns old t-shirts into new fashion items for youngsters. Patterns free to take.

NOV. 01: Architect Ilya Korolev introduces kids to their immediate environment...their rooms!

DEC. 06: Astronomer Jenny Greene gives hints on how to better observe our natural environment.

JAN.03: Repurposed household items turn into objects d’art in the hands of sculptor Emma Spartus.
